X Games BMX Rider Nomination process added
Click on  "Athlete Selection Criteria"  listed on the menu directly left, then click on  " X Games BMX Rider Nomination" for complete details.

The HSA is pleased to announce X Games 12 BMX qualifying criteria.

Invited riders will be selected by a X Games BMX Invitation Committee.  The X Games BMX invite Committee is comprised of BMX'ers and BMX industry experts selected by the HSA, which is the BMX  sport organizer for the X Games, and has over 20 years of experience in BMX and Action Sports. 

The BMX Invite Committee will base their rider selections on the criteria listed below.  

The X Games BMX Selection Committee members will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Gold Medalists from the 2005 X Games
Invites to be named June 7th by X Games BMX Committee.  Committee will base these invitations on international BMX competitions taking place between January 1st - June 4th 2006*, and and BMX balloter nominations**                   
Invites to be named June 28th by X Games BMX Committee.  Committee will base these invitations on international BMX competitions taking place between January 1st - June 25th 2006*, and BMX balloter nominations**                   
Invites to be named July 19th by X Games BMX Committee.  Committee will base these invitations on international BMX competitions taking place between January 1st - July 16th 2006*, and BMX balloter nominations**, and/or media coverage in major BMX magazines and videos, and/or competition history.                   
Invite and Alternates to be named July 26th by X Games BMX Committee.  Committee will base these invitations on international BMX competitions taking place between January 1st - July 23rd 2006*, and BMX balloter nominations** and/or media coverage in major BMX magazines and videos, and/or competition history.                   
*NOTE- Committee members individually examine international BMXF competitions taking place within the listed dates.
Committee will take into consideration competition results, depth of field, course design, judging and overall quality of the competition.

**NOTE- Please see  "X Games BMX Rider Nominations" for compelte details.                            Synopsis: Approx. 50 Riders and Industry people will be issued nomination ballots.  Respondents will be voluntary                    
and their ballots will remain confidential for all except the X Games BMX Invite Committee.  Each balloter will be                    
able to nominate up to fifteen (15) riders in each discipline (Vert, Park, Dirt, Vert Best Trick) who they think should be                    
considered by the X Games BMX Invite Committee.
